Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog

Was a good friend of mine…

Now that I’ve given you a tune to hum all evening I have decided it’s time for a frog post.  Or a toad post. Or both since I don’t know the difference and am too lazy to try to identify them.  I see them, I take photos of them and I let them go on their way  to catch bugs.

Wash Day 007 Walter spotted this little guy one evening when he went out for his smoke break.  The mop was propped up on the back deck under the light. He found one of the hot spots for dinner.  We serve up a great assortment of night bugs and moths on our back deck.

Another hot spot…

not my best side The window over the sink.  We leave the light on until it’s bed time because we are all in and out of the kitchen to fix a glass of tea or maybe, although it’s never me, a bowl of Blue Bell Country Vanilla, sometimes with Hershey’s Syrup all over it… ‘Scuse me a minute…  Anyway I was in doing dishes and noticed this lil’ one hanging around and, BAM! He zapped a moth. He said this wasn’t his best side so here’s another shot -

got the moth 1 Once again, as you’ve heard me say before, it takes so little to amuse me.

Have a good evening.

Cool! I think I'm amused by the same little things you are! I sat and watched a cicada for over an hour the other day.

Awesome how cute are they. Yes, they love a light, they don't have to work as hard. Mine hang by the pool lights. Cute :-))

I love them! I'm a children's author and I think I'm writing from my blog for writers.

I have a blog for animal folks too. Please come visit me at either one.

Ahhhh... simple minds, simple pleasures!
Hey,I'm talkin' about ME, woman... not you, so don't go takin' offense! ;-)
I think I could quite happily sit outside all night and watch the frogs and bugs, and even the bats...

We used to have a little frog that would come in and sit on the dish drainer every night after the dishes were done, and I swear I took about a million photos of him!

That's Oaklahoma for ya'..., folks just sit about watchin' frogs hop. Don't tell anyone that we do this in California too. People think we move too fast to pay attention to a little frog. Wrong!! We love frogs and I have the biggest Toad in the world living in my yard. I think I'm going to give him a name.

By the way.., frogs hop and toads walk.

Great pictures of those frogs. Now all you have to do is kiss one to set those Prince's free to find their true love!

Howdy
Oh my gosh ,I could have watched this little guy for hours and hours.
I am laughing so hard at the moment because of the song you now have stuck in my head !
It brought back a very happy memory for me .
My dear friend Donna and I were at Lake Hugo ,in Hugo Oklahoma
singing this song at the top of our lungs many years ago .
We had both finally learned all the words were on a family camp out and had a transistor radio turned up as loud as it would go .
Looking back it is a wonder we were not kicked out of there for disturbing the peace :)
Thanks for the memories .
Still praying for your friend !
Hugs
Happy Trails

All evening?! I've got to get in the truck and run errands today....and I'll be singing that song.....ALL DAY. thanks tee hee
I love frogs. Used to catch them when I was a chap. Still do, every now and then.
My friend is terrified of them. Don't know why. Makes no sense to me.
Oh, and it don't take much to amuse me either.

And Sass? That's why we're friends. I'm easily amused, too, and I don't know if I've just insulted BOTH of us or complimented either of us. But we both like to laugh. THAT I know.

We are toady and frog lovers, too. We don't have many frogs but LOTS of toads. Maybe I should post about that one of these days. One time the kids caught
500. Yeah, that's probably a post. lol

How's the knee?!
