Time To Go...
Don't these two look kinda lonesome? These are the last of a fantastic first litter.
The darker brindle pup is the little girl that I fell in love with and the lighter brindle pup is a little boy that our friend Pat fell for...
Unfortunately with 5 people and 3 dogs already at our home we could only love them from afar.
My niece sent these photos to me since I'm in Texas for Christmas and she knows I have pupaholics that drop by to check on their progress.
The other 4 puppies have gone to good homes,
Christmas surprises all. They were getting such cute personalities and starting to worm their way in to hearts at home.
Nancy and Steve were both saying last week when I was there that they had to get these pups to new homes. They were both getting too attached to them.
I sure can't fault them for that 'cause I was getting attached myself and I was only seeing them once a week.
I guess we all will have to wait until around this time next year for our next round of puppy fixes, and I know it will be very hard to wait, at least for me... and Nancy and Steve... and several of you who like my puppy fixes. Dang.
But let me ask you something... Is it just my imagination or is Maddie smiling about breast feeding being almost finished?

Oh, they are SOOOO cute! I had to rush over here to see them, and you did not disappoint...I just love how puppies need to grown into their heads. And their paws...those are some huge paws! If I was around them everyday, I would already be a goner :).
I would like one. Send him/her to me. NOW.

They are adorable, but I do think mom is probably tiring of nursing them now that they are so big!
It's easy to see how one might get attached...I want to scoop them up and snuggle with them.
They are so cute!
I want the girl but Molly says I can't have another girl in the house. She is the dominate beotch ya know. Very cute.
Are they not on solid food yet?
They've been on solid food for about two weeks, but when mom's around they would check her out, too. And, as we all know, those puppy teeth are sharp. Maddie would have to correct them in their enthusiasm more than once. I will sure miss going to see them and watching them grow.
Gee whiz, has it been 6 weeks already?
I'm gonna miss them when they're all gone!
OMG, look at those faces! They are too sweet and gorgeous...
Merry Christmas and here's to a happy, healthy and peaceful 2009!

I think Maddie is very relieved that her nursing duties are nearly at an end!! God, those puppies are gorgeous and if I didn't live so far away one of those would be in MY christmas stocking this year!! Thanks for the update and have a wonderful Christmas:)
Oh how I know the feeling of getting attached to the little ones. We had seven boxer puppies, I kept four! but then sad things happened, they escaped out of the yard and one did not come home!! I cried for months, had 100's of supposed sighting, big reward, but he still did not come home! I hope he has a good new home. Another was given to best friend in Texas with breast cancer. I lost her months later so I felt a double loss there. I had the girls in my home fixed, no more puppies here, I can't give them up. But I love the happiness they bring to my heart and to my home!
Merry Christmas, and safe travels to you my friend.
To bad you can't always keep ALL the puppies!
