We Feed The Birds...

And they feed our souls.

I've posted pictures of the birds before but today I wanted to share some of what the birds gave us back on this post today.

Lots of sunflowers.

I love watching them grow. Sunflowers are beautiful to watch grow no matter whether I plant them or the birds gift them back to me.

Each little step that these wonderful flowers go through to show off their glory is so artistic to my eye.

I don't know if I ever told you all that the reason I take photos is that I wanted to have my own pictures to work from when I paint.

I want to be able to see it through my eyes and try to create a picture that shows what I see and take it a step further...

To what I think it could be and perhaps even more.

And, it seems the underline poltergeist jumped into this computer, too...maybe to keep me humble? God does have a sense of humor He shares with me when I seem to be getting too full of myself.

One of these days I'll learn how to do the underline on purpose. Or how to turn it off. Oh well...
Back to the drawing board.

Helen, I love the way you started this post out. . . what I loved even more is the way that poltergiest made you switch gears from 5th to 1st on the freeway of blogging.
You have made me laugh twice tonight. 1) your comment about two inches on another blog and 2) now this underline poltergiest.

I like watching the sunflowers grow, too. Just when you think they are gonna send out a beautiful flower, it sends more leaves and keeps you anticipating.
You paint?! I'm not artistic enough for that. Although I have bought some books and intend on trying to learn to draw.
Hey, it's a start.
Darn that poltergeist!

I wish I could grow sunflowers that is about the only flower that won't grow out here. Why you ask because my deer and rabbits love them when they are all green and pretty long before the flower starts. I even planted a garden of them this year...didn't make it one night...LOL Your flowers look great. Becky grows killer sunflowers!

I know you are loving that new computer.

Call Taps they will help you will that poltergeist!

Aren't sunflowers just the happiest looking flower? Even when they are growing somewhere they don't belong.

I think you need to share some of your painting with your readers. We love the way you write and I'm sure we would love the way you paint.

Love your sunflowers! I planted some, but they didn't come up. Guess I should have left it up to the birds to do! I didn't know that you paint. Show me some paintings......please.

oh I love the sunflowers and the birds that gift them to us. Don't understand the underline 'gift' but one day i'll learn how to use it and then I can tell you how to turn it off!!

That underline thing happens to me occasionally usually right at the bottom of the page-so I move the cursor up above the picture & it goes away!
I want to make a sunflower quilt.......

Hallie's comment scares me. A lot.

I love sunflowers, too. I like to plant the really tall ones. There's something about them - the way they turn their faces up to the sun and the sheer awesomeness of a flower that's taller than I am. They make me happy.
