I’ve been A.W.O.L. a lot this summer. I have no excuses. I could tell you that it is depression related or that I’ve been tired from working out in the heat although I rarely have been outside from noon or one in the afternoon BECAUSE of the heat. Or I can just flat out say that other than the garden stuff I haven’t been very inspired by much to tell you about in new or old stories.

I’ve been doing some research and if a person, in this case moi, does something for thirty days in a row it becomes a habit. So instead of sitting on my butt playing on Face Book (my bad habit) I’ve challenged myself to do a post every day in September to make a good habit. It may only be photos of flowers or the dogs or it may be a childhood story or a grown up story but I’m going to write something every day in September to try to re-habitualize myself back to posting.
Chloe’s saying, “Yeah right, mom… I wanna see this happen. If you don’t post every day I get an extra treat!” She threw the gauntlet down. She needs to lose some serious poundage (as do I but we all know I take better care of my girls than myself) so now I’m locked into this challenge.
Anyone care to make a friendly wager whether or not I’ll succeed?

We'll keep each other accountable okay? I can't get out in the heat in the afternoon either and I've planted, harvested, accepted gifts, fertilized, etc. until I'm blue in the face. It's not challenging our brain at all. Blurring it instead.

It sounds like fun, Helen. Are joining the NaBloPoMo? National Blog Posting Month. (or something like that) I tried to write every day in October of last year because I had missed the NoBloPoMo in November of 2008. I might join you in this one.

I'm trying to give up my facebook addiction, but I'm not having much luck, since it seems rude to check in on some folks and then not check in on others, ya know? And then there are the chickens, and the corn and the trash to pick up... *sigh*

Deb I think Kim had it right when she called FB Face Crack... We had storms tonite and I had to use west coast time to get under the wire.
Caroline you might only get dog photos for a post but I'm really going to give it a go.
Laura I figure as long as I'm still up it's still counts as the right day on a post. I'm going to try to figure out how to write a post and set the time for it to be put up so maybe, just maybe I can manage this. I know it will be shaky at first but I've got to do something to try to feel productive.

ola red -- can i call ya that? hope so. i came here via debbies place. she told me about the 30 day challenge thing - so i came here to read more about it. i used too blog nearly every day-- even two or three times a day occasionally. til a couple months ago. that's when my computer -- actually all of them - crashed and burned. i got a bad virus, and even still have problems with blogging. i have less now for some reason tho. so can i say -- i'm in! i have a very bad memory tho, so i will be linkin up the folks who are doin this on my sidebar, so i don't forget who's bloggin daily. it will alsoo help get me back into the groove of things.
this is my first time here -- love the place-- the veggies make me hungry and jealous at the same time. i can't even keep a silk plant alive :((
