If you were here, on my front porch or the back deck, you would truly, truly understand why "Oh, What A Beautiful Morning" was written for the play "Oklahoma". It is absolutely beautiful here today. Everything is crisp and clean, fresh washed by yesterday's rain, a 15 - 20 mph wind, a beautiful blue sky and 72 degrees. The sun is shining and everything is looking good and the internet is up. What more could one ask for?

It is a beautiful day here, outside, too. That is where I must be! The Captain started a painting project in the house yesterday. He's still not finished and the mess inside is driving me nuts. haha
That is NW Oklahoma, Gloss mountains...am I right? I lived in Enid for 30 years and traveled NW more times that I can count. I was a police officer there for over 21 years and made several trips out west to the state hospital. I thank you for visiting my blog and would love to take photographs at Woodward Park and Phillbrook, but I hear I have to be very careful there for the permits are EXTREMELY expensive. But since I am not pro, I am hoping I can still shoot there. I use Gilcrease more than anything and it has been taken over by TU right now. It looks wonderful and is closer to my home. In fact, I am not even sure where Philbrook is??? We will have to chat for in looking at your profile, we have a lot in common!!!! I'LL BE BACK!!!
I can deal with heat but that humidity is a killer. My dogs were depressed fr the first year. (So was I). Doing better now but still do not like it.

Helen, you are so right. We did not treat our military men right when they returned from Vietnam. And most of them did not choose to enter the service. Hopefully we are doing bettr by them.
The people that picket them are the ones who should bethanking them for fighting for their freedom to picket them.
