Please Don't Feel Neglected...

I've been terribly busy having a pity party... or a blue funk... or, or just plain ole' de-pressed.

I hate de-Christmasing the house. My world feels so blank and colorless and now I , too, feel blank and colorless. I might as well let my hair grow out to it's real color, mousy brown (with just a few strands of gray mixed in).

I don't want to bathe (my roommates stay away from me), I don't want to talk (so no one speaks to me), I don't want to make jewelry, I don't want to do anything but get in my bed, turn on the electric blanket (it's gray and cold today again) and cry myself to sleep. Well, maybe not cry myself to sleep, but to just sleep, perchance to dream...

Since I dream in full-blown technicolor, my life improves dramatically when I sleep, but never fear... this too shall pass.

Hopefully in a hurry.

  1. I have struggled with the melancholy for quite some time now. Christmas helped but my good mood went back in the box with all the decorations. I hear ya Helen...hope it gets better soon and you get back to yourself, whatever that is ;) We miss you and your pup updates!

  2. Oh Helen, do I understand you! It's cold, dreay and just plain ucky outside. I find myself most days in a major funk. Christmas is over, and I didn't even get to celebrate it, I was to sick. When I took down my decorations, I felt Christmas came and went and I slept thru it all. I too, like Jojo misses you, but I understand. I miss the pup updates also!! I just plain miss you!!

Feel better my friend. Spring will come. Won't it?

    God Bless~

  3. When I find myself feeling sad because I have to put all the Christmas pretties away...
I keep one thing out. And enjoy it until I tire of it.
Maybe that's what you need to do. Just one thing that makes you smile.

  4. I understand exactly where you are coming from. When the youngsters are around it is great and bubbly but as soon as the day is over...the clouds start rolling in again! I am counting the days till summer, I improve some as the weather does!

  6. It's bad enough to get depressed, but then to hve to wait until March to really clear it up... I can understand why they call it S.A.D.

Let's pray for some sunshine, even if it is cold, sunshine always seems to help.

Thank all of you for your concerns. I needed some bloggy love.

  9. My house was de-Christmased the day after Christmas. And, now with all the construction going on it looks like noboby lives here. I can't the dust and smell of sheetrock out of my nose!

  10. SAD??? Are you Kidding me??? The OU game is Thursday night and it should be a good one so get out of your funk, make some sugar cookies and make some game food. You will come out of this....The sun will come tomorrow..oh sorry that is a song isn't it? You know how I fixed my problem....???? I did not get any Christmas stuff out this year except for a singing frog and I bought a new Santa after Christmas. Happy about it?? NOPE But my husband would not get the stuff out of the attic. Next year, either the stuff comes out of the attic or he goes to the curb!

  13. Hey, I missed this. Whats up? I went through a real ruff patch when we first moved to Florida. I didn't want to do anything. My problem was I couldn't sleep. I would lay there and not go to sleep. Well, doc puts me on some Wellbutrin and gives me Ambian to help me sleep. I say better living through pharmacuticals!! Although I don't use the Ambian much anymore. Only if I feel like I am not going to be able to get to sleep. Like maybe tonight if the Sooners don't pull this off.
