Crap!

Okay.. I’m going to go by California time and pretend that it’s still the 1st of September.  We’ve had an unusual weather occurrence this evening… RAIN.  At last a break in the heat and humidity but it sometimes wreaks havoc with the internet.  I’m here and still up and the rain settled down and went away, the internet is up and my girls are finally relaxed and not trying to crawl all over me because of the thunder.

Christmas '04, etc. 105 When it thunders and rains hard Chloe just starts shakin’ and wanting to be close to me or Missy.  We also found out that she settles down a lot quicker, even with the noise of the storm, if we cover her up with a blankie so if we know a storm is coming we always try to have one handy.  SueSue, on the other hand, will try to crawl in my lap, up on my head or anywhere else that she thinks will get her any closer to mom.  I don’t know if any of you have ever tried to type with an angst ridden pup or cat in your lap or on your shoulder or head but I’m here to testify that it is dang difficult.

So this is my day one of trying to re-form the habit of writing and by taking advantage of  west coast time… I’m just under the wire.

I will do better tomorrow.

I hope.

Poor babies. My Maggie, the dog I used to have :( was terrified of storms. I hate it for them.

We will give you a break this time hahaha. I'm having a hard time already thinking of something for today!

Poor babies. Isn't it strange how some dogs are so afraid of storms and some don't seem to notice at all.
Our BIG shepherd, Maggie, use to cower in the corner of the bathroom during any thunder and lightening storm....and shake. Poor thing. I didn't think to cover her with a blanket. It might have helped. I sure hope that there are no thunder storms in dog heaven.

JoJo... do you find it hard to keep track of the date, too? I was lucky we had rain but I can't skate by for a whole month on that excuse... guess it just takes a bit to get my motor running...

Debbie that's why I said that I may only post some photos for my blog some days...

Laura I'm rarely to bed before midnite or one in the morning. I'm not one of your bounce out of bed at God-thirty happy people. I think ten or ten thirty is good and then just leave me be for an hour or so... I'm headed out to the country and I'll have another garden report tonight.

Rick... headed your way.

Connie I don't know how I happened to start covering her up. It was probably chilly and I had a throw by my chair, but I noticed that it settled her right down. And I can't imagine anything but rainbows and romping space for our babies that are waiting for us... across the rainbow bridge.

Poor babies! It helps to know that mom's there, but man, I used to get scratched something terrible. Funnily enough, it was the dogs that did it, as the cats seemed to just take it in stride.
We once had a HUGE Great Dane that plumb ate the door off the garage, and then ****ed all over the kitchen floor when a thunderstorm hit! Thank goodness he never tried crawling on top of my head! ;)

Katie you had me rolling with the visual of the Great Dane... One of the best dogs I ever had was a Great Dane but she was okay with storms, it was just people that she was scared of since she had been abused. You would have really had a problem if he had climbed on top of you.
