And when the Southern Baptists cancel a church service you know the roads are not so good. I decided that I’d take a walk and get some images to post for your visual enjoyment and perusal of awesome beauty. It’s been gray the last couple of days but the trade-off has been beauty that stops me in my tracks and I have to be thankful for the things I am fortunate enough to see and appreciate.
That being said… here are some images from my world today.
Back at the house now. Are you all getting a little chilly just looking at these photos? I’ve got some more but I’ll save them for another day. I hope you all are staying warm this weekend and enjoying your world as much as I’ve been enjoying mine.

Wow - absolutely beautiful. The picture with the cardinal is exciting. We see very few of them in this part of the state.
Great photos! I live in Maine and we don't have much snow right now!
That looks frigid, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Southern Baptist Church cancelled? Wow.. wow... I grew up Southern Baptist and I've never heard of something like that ever happening!

Wow....beautiful photos!! Made me feel cold sitting here in my 26 degree celsius weather in short sleeves!! lol
You are so lucky to have cardinals in your life. I absolutely love them and we have none around here.
My friend and I were recently discussing about how modern society has evolved to become so integrated with technology. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory drops, the possibility of transferring our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I daydream about all the time.

Hello, Reddirt Woman. I saw the title of your blog on another blog and wondered if you were an Okie. I'm happy to see that you are indeed. As you can tell by my blog name, I'm also an Okie, but I'm a city girl. I do love your pretty photos. Come visit my blog sometime.
I'll be back to see more of your great photos.
Hi Sara... we have a ton of cardinals here in Oklahoma and I have quite a few photos of them at the feeders or in trees close where they can watch the feeders. Did you know that, while most female birds do not sing, the female cardinal sings and often does so while sitting on her nest... just a quick fact that I learned recently.
Evansmom you all should be able to break out the dogsleds before long because the storm that dumped on us is headed your way.
Ros you will understand when I say it is painfully cold but I have to get out in it because of the beauty but I don't stay out nearly as long as I did in my younger days.
